You know those beautiful birds that Drew Jones gave me for my birthday?
You may know them as Zach and Slater.
Well, Zach (the yellow one)....
He's a she.
Yeooop.
I confirmed it tonight. You can tell by the color of their beaks and the yellow bird's beak is not the pale blue it once seemed...no my friends, it is a pinky-beige. And this means that yellow bird is a girl.
I actually forfeited the names Zach and Slater weeks ago. They weren't flowing for me. I have since tried to think of new names for them and have come up short. So I've just been calling them Birds. Or Birdikins. Actually I usually exclaim it like, "BIRDIKINS!" and they look at me blinking like I'm nuts.
Anyway now that I know I have a boy and a girl on my hands I can rename them once and for all...and cross my fingers for birdie babies. Can you imagine?! Oh I would just LOVE me some birdie babies.
So, I need some help.
If you have any ideas for bird names please comment them on here for me.

hmmm...Fred and Ginger is always good! Or you could go artsy and call them Salvador and Freda. Lucy and Desi, Marge and Homer.... I'll keep thinking.

ReplyDeleteas for the name game, I think zach and slater are AMAZING names!! haha, but yet again, my husband and I always talk about how funny it would be if we went to Bayside HS. I mean, just the other night we made a reference to "the college years". haha, yes, we are THAT LAME.
since zach is a girl, maybe kelly would be good? lisa? sorry...im still stuck on the SBTB references......hehe

ReplyDeletei am equally awful with names, so i'm only stopping by to suggest the method my friend forced upon me. i recently got two little fishies and she told me the two first things we saw upon leaving the store would be their names.
so i now have two fishies named Sabo (from the Sabo's Camping building at olentangy & king) and Gordon (some delivery truck). hah!
