Westley is 3 months old!

As you can see I have been taking a photo of him every week. I love comparing the current weekly photo of him to week one. My big 3 month old boy! Oh how he has grown!

We have a nighttime routine for Westley. We give him a bath, a baby massage, clean dipe and pajamas and then some quiet time rocking and cuddling in his chair together. Last night I sang to him that song from Three Men and a Baby, remember that? "Goodnight sweetheart well it's time to goooo do do dee oh do..." He looked up at me wide eyed and serene. There are so many moments like these with him that are perfect for praying. It seems that babies have a way of slowing the world down. I always pray for health, for a blessed life, good sleep. But most of my prayers are just plain old thankfulness. Gratitude to God for giving us Westley, he is such a joy. I told him today that I am going to tell all his future brothers and sisters that it is because him that we had them. Because he is such a sweet boy and we need more rosy chub cheeks like his to kiss.

So here are Westley's 3 month stats:

Height - 26 inches

Weight - 15 lbs

Head - 16 inches

What he is doing:
smiling
cooing
sucking his thumb and fingers
grasping toys you put near him
clasping his hands together
holds his head up on his own
going down easy for early naps, not so easy for later ones
recognizing Mama and Daddy
pulling his head and chest up during tummy time

What he loves:
bathtime
nursing
t.v. (if the t.v. is on and he is in the room, his eyes are glued to it)
being talked to and smiled at

What annoys him:
tummy time
late afternoon & evening naps
missing a nap

Just like everyone tells you, this goes by so stinkin' fast. Drew and I were recalling the days when he was about 6 weeks old and and would cry for hours so we had to put him in the stroller and push him back and forth in our living room to get him to sleep. And almost every night when I go to bed I wistfully wish that he wouldn't have grown out of his bassinet so fast because I loved having him right there sleeping by my bedside. Sigh.
