We had the Mays over for dinner about a week ago. We enjoyed some chili together on our sweet new table and after some chatting I started to clear the table and clean up.
From the kitchen I glance into the dining room and see them getting some big fluffy things out of a bag they brought with them (which I assumed was a diaper bag for their little guy Corbin).
I come in the room to get a closer look at what is going on and realize that THEY HAVE BROUGHT OVER THEIR OWN ROBEBEARS.
They had seen the post with Drew Jones wearing mine and responded like any good friends over for dinner, by joining in on the fun.
So I went upstairs and put mine on and we spent the rest of the evening chatting in our RobeBears.
It was awesome.

28 Weeks
I am 28 weeks and officially in my 3rd Trimester. My belly looks way bigger then the naked lady's in the book my Mom gave me to track my pregnancy. Drew Jones told me I look like someone out of National Geographic, which I take as a compliment.
People ask me about cravings pretty often. I haven't had any really weird ones, but here is what I do crave:
McFlurry's. Mostly the ones with m&m's, but I like the oreo ones too. If it weren't winter and soft serve ice cream places were open I would probably prefer those places...but McFlurrys do me juuuust fine.
One day I went grocery shopping and really wanted a box on cinnamon donught holes. So I got them and ate like 8 in one sitting. Okay, probably more like 10.
Water. I just want it all the time. I drink so much water, more then I can remember ever drinking before in my life.
Some other interesting pregnancy happenings:
I fall asleep pretty easily but wake up in the middle of the night to go pee and then again a couple hours later. The second time I just lay there wide awake for who knows how long not able to sleep.
I got a bloody nose in the shower the other day. I've never had one of those before. Seeing blood in the shower when you are pregnant is scary, but after realizing it was my nose I felt very thankful.
If I thought I was a germ-a-phob before, I know I am now. For example, I don't take the cut up bread in the communion basket they pass around at church because someone else who JUST SNEEZED INTO THEIR HAND MAY HAVE TOUCHED IT. I know Jesus understands.
People say that the 3rd Trimester is really hard because you are so uncomfortable. Those same people say the the 2nd is the best. I'm pretty sure since I was sick and sad well into my 2nd Trimester that the 3rd will be my best so I am glad I am in it. I'm feeling good, eating, randomly pulling up my shirt to show Drew Jones the vast expanse of my belly just to see his eyes get huge and jaw drop. :) He literally is shocked by the size of it and seeing my belly without fabric over it really reveals it's largeness.
Happy 3rd Trimester to us!

Scoutie J. update
She's getting suspicious of the camera. I think she knows I post her photos up here and call her sassy.
If you are wondering how her Doggie Classes are going, I'd say pretty good.
There are two other dogs in her class. A scruffy mutt who barks almost the entire class and a huge German Shepard who tries to lick Scouts privates and sports a lipstick the whole hour.
We take a little bag of treats with us to practice her commands. It's a trail mix of soft bite size dog treats and mini marshmallows. The girl loves mini marshmallows. If she sees the marshmallow bag her pupils dilate immediately.
We learn drop-it tonight.
You know how excited I am about this.
I have nightmares of me trying to nurse the baby while Scout runs around the house with a used nursing pad between her teeth.
Not good.
Wish us luck!

27 weeks
As you can see my butt is expanding right along with my belly.
And the demure smile is because if I give you a full out grin, my face becomes the size of the moon.
Fat and happy.

Weekend Recap
It seems like all I do now-a-days is post photos of my husband doing stuff.
But he is so handsome that I know you don't mind right?
Here he is putting together the crib!
As you can see he shaved his beard into a mustache that I didn't notice until his brother Tanner came over for a haircut (Drew Jones cuts hair, one of his many talents) and commented on his stache.
I was appalled.
While I was snapping photos of him assembling the crib he asked for a serious shot of him and the mustached. I obliged.
Oh the horror. (don't worry he shaved it)

My Mom visited over the weekend and we all went to Target to register for the baby shower. My Mom got us popcorn and slushies from the Food Avenue while Drew Jones and I went to Customer Service and got ourselves a scan gun.
Oh the power of the scan gun.
We headed over to the baby aisles and were confronted with 60 different choices in pacifiers and dozens of varieties of bottles. Drop ins, glass, ventilated, oh my! We anxiously ate our popcorn and made the hard decisions on which products to scan.
Here are a few of the things we scanned:

We also celebrated my Mom's birthday on Sunday with a homemade cake, Jeni's ice cream and Five Guys cheeseburgers. Yum.
I am 27 weeks today! I'll be posting a new photo of my ever growing belly tomorrow. :)

Come here to go there.
A fellow bloggist asked me to guest blog for her.
Her name is Shannon and she writes a blog called "The Scribble Pad".
This is her:
Except that now the baby that was in that belly is outside of it, most likely in her arms.
I wrote a little post for her and it is live today on her blog.
So check it out if you wish.
If you love me, you'll do it.

Valentine Pre-Gaming
I was at Jo-Ann Fabrics the other day buying supplies to make a mobile for the baby and they had all their Valentines Day stuff out.
Including Brach's Conversation Heart candy.
This time of year I really love those things. So I put them in the cart.
When I brought them home Drew Jones smirked at my sugar addiction. I broke them open and started eating some and when I asked if I could give one to Scout he said I couldn't. So I just read her the sayings on the hearts while she sat there staring me down trying to use her eyes to convince me that Dad was all wrong about not giving her some.He said they are pure sugar and Scout doesn't need that.
I countered with, "Well then maybe I don't need them either."
And he said, "She is a dog, you are a human. You can have things like that and make choices.
I decided not to argue with that.

Weekend Work
This weekend a lot of work was done in preparing for the little guy inside me scheduled to arrive around April 19th.
Drew Jones and his Dad painted his room. The color is called "Sand Fossil". Drew Jones picked it out. If you are from Columbus you'll know what I am saying when I describe it as the color of Salty Caramel ice cream. It looks really great and kind of delicious.
My Sister-in-Law Lauren and I went to IKEA while they were painting. I had to be out of the house because of all the harmful fumes and we need a crib so it worked out. We had a lot of fun and practiced ALOT of self-discipline by sticking to our lists and plans (and budget).
ALSO - Drew Jones is almost finished with the dining room table he is building for us. He worked on that as well while I was gone and it is looking fab.
Scout spent the day Saturday being banished from where ever Drew Jones and his Dad were working. So I'm told she cried and cried and wore herself out with that.
By the end of the day we were all exhausted from our endeavors.
Here is Drew Jones settled in watching football and Scout passed out next to him, tired from her busy day of whining.

Basic Training
Scout starts her Doggy Training classes tonight. Was Drew Jones happy to learn that we will be at Petco for Dog training classes the next 6 Friday nights?
No.
But will he be happy when Scout stops stealing his wool socks from the laundry basket and running around the house with them?
Yes.
Here is a short, anti-climatic video of Scoutie in honor of her big day:

25 weeks. Livin' large.
All of a sudden this seems to be going very fast.
My Mom, sister and I are planning my shower.
Drew Jones and his Dad are painting the nursery this weekend while I go to IKEA to pick up some things to fill it with.
I scheduled our Labor and Delivery tour at the hospital.
&
The other day I actually saw the baby move in my big ole belly.

Hand Picked
This is a sampling from our growing baby registry.
It has been so much fun to carefully choose every little thing. I have been very picky and only am including items that are rated high and that I truly want and need.
The Red Rody Horse would fall into the "want" category.
Mmm maybe the "really want" one actually.

What we did to ring it in.
New Years Eve in Ohio was warm. I think it peaked at like 60 degrees.
So Drew Jones worked outside:
And Scout dug a hole:
Then we came inside, ate some tacos and watched Rocky Balboa while babysitting a happy little boy named Merit.
I fell in and out of sleep watching the ball drop and woke up just in time to kiss my husband at midnight.
A Happy New Year for a couple of party animals.
